Above is an animatic created in March 2009 to demonstrate a more streamlined approach to the original story. A recent update to the story has shortens this even further while emphasizing the stronger elements of character development and plot.

A Re-Reading of an Irish Folktale

The Corpse Watcher contains several shamanic themes such as spirit travel, the otherworld, and rescuing of a sick soul. In this retelling the rescuer is also the rescued told in animated form through the lens of a late 1940's and 50's noir fiction.
